According to the regulations of Vietnam Immigration Department, foreigners, who own a Vietnam visa and wish to make a longer stay in Vietnam when their visa is going to be expired, can have your visa extended. With a three-month Vietnam visa, you can extend your visa to stay in Vietnam 1 month or 3 months more.

In almost cases, applicants can extend your 3 month visa for 1 more month or 3 more months with just your original passport and information about your temporary residence address in Vietnam. The extension fee depends on not only the catergory your visa but also the quantity of Vietnam visas in your passport, the arrival ports in Vietnam, your nationality and so on. Normally, the fee is USD 80 upward for a one-month extended visa and USD 165 upward for a three-month extended visa. To get the best advice for each specific case and fee details, you should contact us one week before your visa expires. By the way, kindly let us know the kind of visa you want to extend and send us the scan of your passport pages which contain all Vietnam visas.

When you already know the extension fee you must pay for your visa extension, please do as following guidance to extend the visa:

-         Send us the original passport to our office.

-         Make payment for extension fee

-         Wait for 5 -6 working days (for a one-month extended visa) or 7-10 working days (for a three-month extended visa) to get your passport with your stamped visa extension.

You can pay the extension fee in cash or by your credit card after your request is approved.

If you are still working in Vietnam and have chance to exit Vietnam for few days, it is recommended that you apply for a new Vietnam visa. Compared with visa extension, applying for a new visa is simpler; moreover, approval fee is also much cheaper.
