Notice: The visa approval fee should be paid online on the time the application is accepted. The stamping fee must be paid in cash at the airport in Vietnam where the visa sticker is placed.
Vietnam business visa fee for US passport holders
The approval rate of Vietnam business visa for US passport is different from tourist visa. However, the stamping rates are the same for both types, and all foreigners to Vietnam including US passport must prepare the stamping fee in cash in advance. Before they have got a visa in their passport, they need to submit the visa-stamping fee together with their passport.

Procedure to get a visa for Vietnam for US passport
To get a visa for Vietnam, US passport just double-check your passport and ensure it is valid at least 6 months from the date you plan to enter Vietnam. For those who apply for a 12-month visa, of course, the longer validity duration of your passport is required.
The first step is to send an application for a visa online.
Secondly, pay the visa approval fee, which should be paid together with your online application submission
Finally, a letter of visa approval is sent to your email.
The letter of visa approval should be printed out. Since this letter bears a unique coded generated by the Immigration’s administrating system, it can also be printed in black and white from anywhere in the world.
Important notice on the validity of the visa
Vietnam government grant a visa and allow foreigners to stay in Vietnam with the same duration length of the validity length. Therefore, with a 1-month visa, a foreigner to Vietnam can stay up to 30 days.
However, with the 12-month visa of tourist purpose, US passport are allowed to Vietnam no more than 90 days for each entry.
