I have got a Vietnam visa approval letter granted by Vietnam Immigration Department. However, my passport number is wrongly noted in the approval letter, will I get trouble when entering Vietnam due to this wrong passport number?

Answer:

Before submitting Vietnam visa application (either online or at Vietnam Embassy), Vietnam Visa applicants are advised to check all your personal information carefully to make sure that the information is as exactly as shown in your passport. Once there is any wrong information in the approval letter compared with your passport, you will get trouble when checking in Vietnam. In the worst case, you are forced take flight back your country.

Therefore, when receiving Vietnam visa approval letter, foreign visitors should spend a couple of minutes double checking all noted information in the visa approval letter. If you find any wrongly noted information (passport number, full name, date of birth, gender, nationality), you should contact the Vietnam visa agent for revising the approval letter or applying for a new visa letter.
