Do Egyptian children need visa for Vietnam?

Hi, I’m intending to visit Vietnam for a few weeks together with my family including 2 children. I know, as Egyptian, we need a Vietnam visa. But I wonder about Vietnam visa requirement for my children. Do Egyptian children need visa for Vietnam?

Answer:

Vietnam Immigration law regulates that Egypt citizens of all ages entering Vietnam for any purpose are required Vietnam visa. However, there are some notices on requirement to get visa to Vietnam for children of Egypt as below:

• If Egyptian children have a shared passport with their father/ mother, Vietnam visa requirement for children includes visa application form and a scanned copy of shared passport sent to our support email: support@evietnamvisa.com. Please notice that in this case, it is compulsory that there is at least a visa request of an adult (their father or mother) submitted into the same visa application with the children.
  

• In the other case, if Egyptian children have their own passport, Vietnam visa requirement for them is same as for visa requirement for Egyptian adult. In this case, steps to apply for Vietnam visa for Egypt children is very simple. You just need to submit Vietnam visa application online. Currently, applicable Vietnam visa types for Egyptian children are also 1 month single/ multiple entry visa and 3 month single/ multiple entry visa. The cost of Vietnam visa for Egypt children is based on each type of visa. For specific, it takes USD 25/ person for 1 month single entry visa, USD 30/ person for 1 month multiple entries  visa, USD 35/ person for 3 month single entry visa, and USD 45/ person for 3 month multiple entries visa.

After submitting visa application, the next step applicants should do is to complete visa approval fee quoted by the system. This fee can be sent by credit card via OnePay, PayPal or by Bank Transfer or Western Union. For standard service, within about 3 working days, Egyptian applicants will receive Vietnam visa approval letter granted by the Immigration Department of Vietnam via email. This is a legal document managed by a unique code working as in air ticket that allows Egyptian travelers to get Vietnam visa on arrival at Vietnam international airport.

Please notice that both 1 month visa and 3 month visa are applicable for Egyptian children. However, for people wishing to apply 3 month visa for Egyptian passport holder, it is required that there is an adult’s visa request submitted in visa application together with the children. Because according to policy to issue visa of Vietnam Immigration Department, 3 month visa is approved as business visa, and this visa types will not be issued for alone children.
