However, they seldom accept visa extension application directly from an individual foreigner. Instead, they may require sponsor or guarantee from a unit; the company which the foreigner is involved, or a travel agent where the foreigner (as a tourist) travels. This ensures their better administration of the activities of foreigners in Vietnam.

OVERSTAYING VISA AND EXPIRED VISA

Foreigners overstaying their visa while in Vietnam may choose to deal with directly with the Immigration Department of Vietnam, or simpler and quicker via sponsor in Vietnam. A regulated fine fee and the exit visa are required spontaneously to your submission of passport.

Apparently, the longer the overstay is, the higher the visa fee is. Furthermore, depending on the seriousness of the violation judged by the Immigration officers, the foreigner is blacklisted and forbidden from re-entering Vietnam or not.  Normal the overstaying period of 15 days upward is marked as a severe violation and the foreigners will be marked. For the longer time of overstay, a report on the reason why overstaying and commitment of no further violation may be required.

In brief, right after you can arrange to deal with your expired visa, you should:

-       contact us or send email to support@evietnamvisa.com for update info about regulations about your case

-       Send passport, fine fee, and associated requested documents (if any)

-       Get ready within 5-7 business days after your exit visa is completed and leave Vietnam.

If foreigners wish to re-enter Vietnam you may request a new visa approval for next entry before you leave. Normally, we can advise you shortly about the result and offer appropriate consultation for your need for entry into Vietnam.
