Pursuant to the Resolution announced by Vietnam Government, since July 01st 2015, citizens of Belarus entering Vietnam has been offered exempted from visa for entry no longer than 15 days regardless passport type or purpose of visit. For those who plan to stay in Vietnam longer and exempted duration, visa will be needed. In this case, Vietnam visa fee for Belarus citizens will be required.
When requesting visa, there are two separate fees that Belarus applicants should pay. The first one is visa approval fee which is also considered as service fee. This fee should be paid to process pre-approved Vietnam visa document, so it need to be completed in advance. Being service amount, approval fee will be collected by visa agent that you directly request visa.
The second one is stamping fee. This is the fee for getting official visa. Unlike approval fee, stamping amount need to be paid in cash at the moment applicants pick up their visa. For those people choosing visa on arrival, stamping fee will be collected by immigration officer when passenger arrive Vietnam international airport. Whereas, if Belarus apply for visa code, stamping fee should be paid to staff working at Embassy of Vietnam. For this option, applicants should contact Embassy’s staff for detailed charge as there is no a general regulation about stamping fee among Vietnam Embassy in all countries.
In contrast, the cost of visa on arrival for Belarusians is very clear.

Currently, getting visa for Belarus citizens can be carried out with some simple steps as following:
- Filling in visa application online
- Transferring visa approval fee
- Receiving visa approval letter/code after two business days at maximum
- Picking visa at Vietnam Embassy (visa code) or getting visa upon arrival at Vietnam airport (visa on arrival)
For those Belarus passport holders intending to visit Vietnam longer than 15 days, it is also possible to get visa extension when your visa exemption expires. However, the charge for this is seem much more expensive than the charge of applying for a new visa. Therefore, these citizens are strongly recommended getting one month or three month visa before departure instead of entering Vietnam by free-visa of 15 days and then extend it.
