Vietnam Visa cost is decided by the way you would like to get your Vietnam visa, visa type that you apply and what your nationality is.

The popular way is getting Vietnam visa online to get visa on arrival. Presently, for tourist purpose, there are 4 main visa types: 1 month (single and multiple entries) and 3 month (single and multiple entries). For business purpose, there are 6 visa types including 1 month (single and multiple entries) and 3 month (single and multiple entries), 6 month multiple entries and 12 month multiple entries. What currency to pay Vietnam visa cost?Thirdly, nationality of the visa application also decides how much Vietnam visa cost them. Normally citizens in the ASEAN countries are exempted from Vietnam visa for a visit of no more than 21 days. Citizens in the Middle East and African countries are required to pay higher fee as beside the higher visa cost, they need to pay the guarantee fee for the agent who request visa approval for them. 

When you get Vietnam visa at embassy, the cost can be paid in the local currency. For example, if you get visa at Embassy of Vietnam in Australia, you can pay the cost of visa in AUD.

When you pay the approval cost to the agent, it should be USD or Vietnam Dong.

When you pay the stamping cost at airport in Vietnam, it is a must that you pay the total cost in USD in cash.
