Procedures for Vietnam visa extension at Immigration Department

For foreigners who are staying and live in Vietnam, they can extend their visa for a period of 1 to three month at the Immigration Office in their temporary resident province or city where foreigners were staying.

1. Foreigners who can get visa extension at the Immigration Office include:

- Foreigners entering Vietnam for tourism purposes.

- Foreigners entering Vietnam for the purpose of trade, investment

- Foreigners entering Vietnam to visit relatives;

- Foreigners entering Vietnam to marry a Vietnamese

- The foreign investors to Vietnam;

- Head of the representative office of non-governmental organizations located in Vietnam;

- Attorney was licensed to practice by Vietnam Ministry of Justice;

- The foreign workers were granted work permits. .....

2. The Profile foreigners should prepare for Vietnam visa extension

- Legal documents of their business, organizational guarantee for outsiders (Include copy of business registration, a copy of the certificate of seal, a copy of the tax code registration, Registration form signed and sealed);

- Passport of foreigners must be a minimum period of six months;

- Work permit (In the case of foreign workers who want to apply for a visa for a period of 03 months or more, investors, project head office, non-governmental organizations, foreign lawyers are granted license in Vietnam do not have to apply for a work permit)

- Form of the request for Vietnam visa extension.

This form is confirmed by the company or organization in Vietnam if it is guaranteed by that company and organization in Vietnam.
