New Vietnam Visa Exemption Regulations 2020

The Immigration law No. 47/2014/QH13 dated June 16, 2014 on entry, exit, transit, and residence of foreigners in Vietnam has made a remarkable changes in the regulations on visa exemption issuance.

Specifically the article no 20 of the law indicate that any foreigners to Vietnam under visa exemption policy can get only one exemption visa within 30 days.

 “Any foreigner that enters Vietnam and is unilaterally granted visa-free entry must have a passport that is still valid for at least 06 months, and the entry date must be at least 30 days from the previous exit;”

For those who enter Vietnam for more than one time within 30 days, you can apply for a normal visa by either going to Embassy of Vietnam or apply online for getting visa at Vietnam airport.
