Currently, British passport holders are in the list of having exemption visa for Vietnam. Therefore, if you proposed duration of stay is less than 15 days, all British passport holders do not need to apply for a visa. In case you may travel from Vietnam to another country to Laos or Cambodia, e.g. you may need to apply for a visa if you enter Vietnam two times, or you get out of the transit area in Vietnam airport.
