Documents for obtaining a tourist visa to Vietnam from Sri Lanka

I want to do a round tour as a tourist in Vietnam. What is the better way to get the visa? Can I request for Vietnam visa online or through Vietnam embassy in Sri Lanka? What are the documents for obtaining a tourist visa to Vietnam from Sri Lanka? I need your help. Thank you.

Due to the diplomatic issues between Vietnam and Sri Lanka, citizens of this country entering Vietnam are required different documents compared with citizens of almost other country. Specifically, Sri Lankans wishing to travel to Vietnam with tourist purpose must have a sponsor for them during their residing period in Vietnam. The eligible sponsor for Sri Lankans to enter Vietnam should be a company or an agent.

In case Sri Lankans have a company in Vietnam as a sponsor for you, just contact us to get guidance on how to complete the form and further procedure to get your visa.

In case Sri Lanka passport holders wish to have us as sponsor for you, just submit your visa application online. Then please kindly complement the visa application by sending us the scan copy of the main passport page for the visa applicant.

The visa cost for two above mentioned cases are also different. Of course, the first enjoy lower cost than the second does.

However the processing time to get Vietnam tourist visa for both of the cases for Sri Lanka passport holders is the same. It is normally 3 business days. In urgent cases, it can be processed within 2 business days.

Sri Lankans can choose visa on arrival if they wish to get visa at airport when they arrive in Vietnam or visa code if they wish to pick the visa at Embassy of Vietnam before departure.

Please be kindly noted that Embassy of Vietnam in Sri Lankan will not issue visa for Sri Lankans without visa approval code (the pre-approved visa issued by the Immigration Department of Vietnam).
