Changing single visa into multiple visaQuestion:

Hello. I’m in Ho Chi Minh, and i have a 15 days exemption visa but it will expire in 7 days later. I plan to visit Cambodia in some days and come back Vietnam.  Is it possible to help me to change my visa into a multiple entry visa for one month? Many thanks!

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for your question!

We are so sorry to inform that according to Vietnam Immigration law, your current visa cannot be changed into a multiple-entries visa. In case, if you want to have multiple entries to Vietnam, you should leave Vietnam before the expiration date of your current visa. Then you can apply for a new single entry or a multiple entries visa in order to come back Vietnam.

In case, if you want to stay in Vietnam longer than your current visa, and then you will leave Vietnam  for travelling and come back after some days, you can follow the suggestion as following:

-       Firstly, you should extend your current visa in order to stay in Vietnam longer than your permitted duration. Having 15 days visa exemption, you are able extend it for 15 more days or even one more month. In order to get detailed information about the requirement to extend visa, extension fee, and processing time as well, please contact us.

-       After getting visa extension, you are able to stay in Vietnam as your plan. Then, when you leave the country, you can apply for a new visa and use it to re-enter.

In order to apply for a new visa, you just need follow a few simple steps ass below:

-       Submitting a visa application online at

-       Paying visa approval fee by credit card, by PayPal, Bank Transfer or Western Union

-       Receiving visa approval letter via email after two business days at maximum

-       Getting visa on arrival at Vietnam airport

Please notice that visa on arrival is applicable for people who enter Vietnam by airway only. If you plan to come back Vietnam by land or sea way, you should visit Vietnam Embassy in Cambodia to apply for visa.
